What shapes the system price?
Start with the opening width and height, then work through the configuration and performance requirements. This guide does not publish a dollar range: a current, project-specific quote is needed to establish your price.
Opening size and panel layout
Panel quantity, dimensions, stacking direction, and everyday access affect the system you order. Compare alternatives using the same opening dimensions.
Material and finish
Aluminum, thermally broken E+ aluminum, wood, and clad wood offer different design choices. Ask for the finish and material to be identified in each quote.
Glass and performance
Confirm the proposed glass, energy performance, and any required impact-rated configuration. A similar-looking system may have a different specification.
Sill, hardware, and accessories
Identify the threshold, handle finish, locks, screens, and any custom details. Ask which items are included and which are optional.
Budget beyond the doors
Ask your contractor to separate the supplied system from the building work. A replacement in an existing suitable opening and a new opening in a structural wall can involve very different scopes.
Structure and opening preparation
